Bolo Update

Bolo's Mom here.

The cookies and Grandpawrents came in ok yesterday. Unfortunately, Bolo had an allergic reaction to SOMETHING and his face swelled up so it was emergency trip to the 24 hour vet clinic half way across town time.

He' doing ok now, but we're keeping him quiet. Which, for right now, includes no blogging. He'll be back tonight or tomorrow and BOY does he have ADVENTURES to share with you!

As you can see, my grandpawrents are not here yet. Sigh. At this point my cookies are secondary. I want my grandpawrents! Oh my dog, did I just say cookies were secondary? I did! You're all going to think I'm nuts. Honesty though, what's going to last longer, a cookie or an ear scratch? Especially if you're leaning into the ear scratch, and making happy grunting noises.

Pardon me, I have to go back to waiting for them to get here. Maybe I should practice tail wagging, just so they know I'm happy to see them. Charlie Daniels, if you should happen to get a HUGE storm in the next day or so, it might be my tail causing a Butterfly Effect. I'll apologize in advance. Sorry.

Bolo's Friday Weather Report and Other Adventures

Dun da da dah! Welcome to Bolo's Friday Weather Report and Other Adventures!

Mom has been forgetting to put the theme song in there. I prompted her this time.

As you can see, it's a fabulous day! I've already been on an Adventure! Mommy and I had to drive Daddy to work. Instead of stopping at the Tim Hortons, we stopped at the book store - it has a Starbucks. So I had all sorts of new things to pee-mail! Pei laughter.

I made a new friend yesterday! I'm so excited! It's Lois Lane! Or Laney as I saw she was called. You can linky to her at the right. She's there. I don't remember how I got to her site, but she's a Shar Pei! Well, half Shar Pei half Beagle. Does that make her a Peigle? With another Pei in the DWB I will definately have to do the DWB Nose Expose. Maybe in November. We can call November Nose Month and I'll showcase Noses. Hmm. I need to think about that some more.

I have more Adventures planned for today. I have to get my stitches removed. I'm not looking forward to that. Then I'll have to rescue Daddy. I AM looking forward to that one. Then tomorrow my grandpawrents will be here! Hurray! I LOVE my grandpawrents. Maybe this time I'll be able to sneak a nose kiss to Grandma. Pei laughter. Even better, they're bringing my COOKIES! That's a good thing because I had the last cookie yesterday after my pill. My cookie jar is officially EMPTY.

I can't believe how many people really like my new header. I like it too. With that much nose showing though, do you still need another nose fix? Or is it a case of you can never get enough Pei Noses? Hmm, maybe I should warn Laney about the nose fan club around here. Pei laughter.

Answers to Important Questions

Some people are asking questions in the comments of my blog so I'm going to answer a few of them here.

Tom, from Sen-Chan and Tom fame, the secret to a good, dignified picture, according to Mom, is to shoot from underneath.
Example A. You also need some good lighting. Although, you're a lot lighter than I am colourwise, you might not need as much as I do.

Mango, of Mango's Great Adventure fame, asked if I'd grown an extra wrinkle on my head. No, I didn't. It's always been there. You can actually identify Shar Peis by their head wrinkles. I'm calling it Shar Pei Phrenology.

Booker, the famous Treeing Walker, asked how my owies were. They're ok. Mommy is taking me to the vet to get the stitches taken out on Friday. I still have some pills to take though. I'm getting really good at taking those.

Eduardo of Snuggle Puggle fame, would like me to do a Nose Expose on DWB noses. I think that's a great idea Eduardo. I'll start working on that. I'll need to collect a few noses. This will require some thought.

Sunny, Scooter and Jamie, of Texas Sun Dog fame, want hippo pictures. Wait for it. Pei laughter.

Mango (Minor), of Maltese Kiddo fame, would like to add me as his bud. Go for it Mango!

River, of Down River fame wants to know my favorite cookie flavour. All of them. Pei laughter. Or, Daddy says I can quote James Dean, "What ya got?"

Wednesday

I took one look outside today and said I'm going back to bed. I think I'll curl myself up in all the blankets and sleep until it's time to rescue Daddy from work. Then it's my job to let Mommy know it's time to rescue Daddy from work. Then comes the hardest part of all, making sure I get enough huggles and scratches! I have a daily quota you know.

The Nose Report

Welcome to Bolo's Nose Report. I'm your Reporter Pei, Bolo.
Our first guest today is the African Lion. Lioness actually. The Lion wasn't being photogenic and Mommy only got the back of his head. He OBVIOUSLY hadn't gotten the memo about my Nose Kissability Report. Uhm, she's a carnivore so just be careful about running up and kissing her nose.

Next up is the Cheetah. She's also a carnivore, and runs very fast, so we'd all have to be careful kissing her nose. Hmmm. Maybe we should just blow kisses at them instead.
Mommy isn't sure what this is, but it could be a baby Kudu. He's kind of cute. I like his ears. And that's a kisssable nose!
Then there's Grevy's Zebra. Hi. Your nose is close enough that even my daschi friends would be able to kiss it! Coolness! I think that's a kissable nose.
Then THIS GUY AGAIN! Pei laughter. It's a good thing he's handsome isn't it?

Phew! Now that's done I can answer questions from the last two days. The game the people were playing on the Wii was Raving Rabbids 2. And no one needs to worry, I've had communication about my cookies, Grandma and Grandad will be here with the cookies on Saturday. Three cheers for Grandma and Grandad for saving my cookie jar! Monday Morning Report

There was some excitement at our house last night.

This is Brittany. A 10 year old little white poodle. She's the puppy of one of my Dad's friends and his soon to be wife. She stopped by yesterday with them. She peed in my yard, tried to eat my food. All I tried to do was kiss her nose! She wasn't into playing, so I chased her under chairs until someone picked her up. I had fun!
Then MY Mommy and HER Mommy made us pose. Nice colour contrast.

In other news, look at this!
I'm starting a FILL MY COOKIE JAR Plea. Grandma! Grandad! Hurry here with my cookies please! (Grandad called Saturday from Poochinni's Barkery to ask what flavours I wanted, so I know I'll be getting some soon.) Please hurry! Drive carefully though!
