Fun Stuff on Friday!

I've gone back into my archives to get today's picture:

Didn't I look CALM and SERENE?  This was Before Puppy.  NOBODY in our house looks CALM and SERENE anymore.  We all just look TIRED.  Chasing after Puppy is EXHAUSTIPEITING!

Although, I have to say that Puppy did something ever so nice for me this morning.  He gave me some of his Breakfast Sausage.  Nom nom nom nom.

In other news, I was almost on the radio this week!

The radio station that we listen to was broadcasting Live and In Person from a place not too far from my house!  So dark and early, we all got ourselves ready, and leashed up and all that, and we headed out to meet our morning radio DJ crew.  I got ear scratches from one of the DJ's but she wouldn't let me snuffle the microphone.  Drat.  I was SO close.  Of course, I would have done a WHOLE DWB commercial, talked about how no one should be using anti-wrinkle cream because honestly, a few wrinkles just make everyone look much more beautiful, and promote my Nosevember Contest for this year!

Honestly, Mom and I are SO sure I would have been much more interesting than coverage for our Provincial Elections.

Film on Friday!

Well, it's been a busy week at our house.

Mom and Puppy have been going out and coming in and I'm not invited to as many social occasion as I used to be because they're so busy. I do still get my daily walks, but honestly, I think I deserve more.

In good news, Mom is starting to get everything ready for Nosevember! For those that have never played the Nosevember Game, don't worry, we'll post some rules. Anyone who wants to participate in Nosevember can send me a nice picture of their face, full on, three quarter or profile to bolo(at)magma(dot)ca
Basically, Nosevember is a time to guess all of our friends noses.

And lastly, here's a video of me playing with my Yellow Buddy. I don't get to play with him as often as I used to mostly because Puppy's toys take up an awful lot of room. That's Puppy laughing in the background.

Sad News

I wasn't going to write anything today, mostly because nothing exciting has happened around here, but we got an email from Bionic Grandad today.  My cousin Tia has crossed the bridge.

This was the email Bionic Grandad sent:

Tia spent the first years of her life in a puppy mill as a breeding female. She came to Grammy as a rescue dog. Once Grammy had nursed her back to health she felt Tia was very special and needed her so adoption by another family was not on.

 

The last eight years of her life with us she has given far more  to us than we have given to her. To-day her heart which had been enlarged for some time could not sustain her. We really do not know exactly how old she was but are very thankful for the time she has spent with us. It is funny how so much is said between you and your pet without ever speaking a word.

 

This little gentle loving dog will be greatly missed.

Wednesday's Weekly Wrap Up

Well my birthday was loads of fun.  Mom and Dad took me out to PetSmart so that I could celebrate with all my friends.  I even saw my trainer Miss Tanya. I got lots of cuddles.  Mom even woke me up with cuddles and soft singing of Happy Birthday.  Ahhhh.  I love cuddles.  I got squirrels, I got cookies, I got cuddles, I even got a Birthday Cake!

Mom found this at PetSMart it's by a company called The Lazy Dog Cookie Co.  I'm not too interested in this treat so much, I'm a bit of a fussy eater, but the thought was nice Mom!

In other news, my birthday celebrations continued on Tuesday when one of my FAVORITE people came to visit.  Miss Jenn!  I haven't seen her in FOREVER!

Of course Mom didn't have the camera anywhere nearby, so there are no pictures of Miss Jenn and I together.  Mom joked that I was Miss Jenn's boyfriend in a previous lie.  Miss Jenn replied by saying something like she was glad she had chosen such a good cuddler as I am!  I love you too Miss Jenn!

I, of course, being a gentlepup, helped Mom drive her home and made sure she got into her apartment ok.

Hap-Pei Birthday to Me!

I'm 6 years old today!

I'm practically a senior!  Mom is wondering if that will qualify me for a seniors discount on dog food.  I'm not sure, but it's worth a try!

We don't have any pictures of me as a puppy puppy, but Mom asked if she could post her favorite picture of me when I came home to them in February of 2006, I was about 4 months old, so here it is!

Wednesday's Weekly Wrap Up

Well, no other baths have happened - to me anyway, Puppy has had a few though. Better him than me I say.

It's been a very stressful week around here for me with the baths and there was a lot going on today while Grandad and Grandma were over to help Mom redo the closet so there would be more room.  Looks good, but it was loud with Grandad using a drill and a hammer and those tape measures are SO LOUD! Pei laughter.

Anyway, Puppy is doing something called Transition Week at his Day Care.  Sometimes he's here, sometimes he's there.  I really don't understand it all.  Can't he just go, get his treats and cuddles and come back like me?  Mom says No.  So I've sent in someone I trust to get me all the information that she can on what's going on at Puppy's Day Care.

Monday Report - Special Edition!

This has been a weekend worth Blogging about!

First off, we lost our Internets on Friday!  FRIDAY!  It's Monday and we just got it back!  Mom and Dad were almost in withdrawl shakes.

Then on Saturday we lost our PHONE LINE.  Just POOF!  GONE!  We managed, we have a cell phone.  Luckily, Mom had just added minutes to it.  Good idea Mom!

Then Mom made me take a bath.  YUCK!  I always get a bath before my monthly flea/tick/heartworm medication.  YUCK!

So that was Saturday.  Saturday night/Sunday morning we had a HUGE storm that woke me up.  So I - being the wonderful pei that I am - woke up Mom and Dad. 

Dark and early, Mom took me outside to do my little thing.  I was barking so she made me come inside.  It wasn't just me that came inside though.  This SMELL came in too.  Mom says she could almost see it working it's way through the house.  Since the Internets was broken, Mom and Dad figured I had gotten sprayed by a skunk - although Mom says I didn't get totally sprayed, just slightly sprayed.  She also said it didn't smell like skunk at first, only after it a few hours it did.  All that to say that I got another bath at 630am!  In the morning!  Not even 12 hours after my last one!  This one was with lemon dish soap, to cut some of the smell.

After that, once the stores opened, Mom and Puppy walked me down to PetSmart and we picked up a deodourizing shampoo an an Anti Skunk soap.  Which means, I got another BATH!  That's THREE baths in less than 24 hours. 

The rest of the weekend was non-eventful.  Our Phone and Internet came back Monday around 11am and I'm hoping there is a walk somewhere that does NOT include a bath.

Sorry there's no picture for today, I'm afraid the skunk smell might make it through to you, and that's the last thing I'd wish on anyone.
