Take a look at my amazing Tug o War skills! I particularly like my Hip Check and Shoulder Check. Mom says I'll be able to play pro-hockey when I grow up! Cool!
I can't believe a month has gone by since Bolo crossed The Bridge, yet every day has seemed like an eternity. What a strange paradox.
I think it was very good for Puppy to have Baja come to visit. Bolo was very protective of Puppy but was never too keen on having Puppy cuddle him, or touch him even. Baja was ok with being squished, almost fallen on, I'm sure we all stepped on her coat accidentally at one time or another, and she certainly didn't mind toddler cuddles:
It certainly showed me what a strong influence Bolo had on Puppy. I wondered when Bolo crossed what, if anything, Puppy would take away from the experience of having Bolo in his life - I wanted him to have SOMETHING. I was almost desperate to see ANYTHING in Puppy that Bolo had provided the influence for. I saw what it was this past week.
It was Puppy's responsibility to put down Baja's food bowl twice a day. He did an awesome job, and actually eagerly volunteered for it.
It was also Puppy's job to feed Baja cookies after walkies. He was excellent at this job, and again, he volunteered.
Thank you Bolo for teaching Puppy to care for others so well and without any prompting.
Has it ever been a busy week here. Mom AND Dad AND Puppy are all sick with colds and feeling all poopy and everything. That means it's MY job to look after them and make sure they're all ok. So you can imagine I have been working my wrinkles off looking after all three of them! Exhausti-pei-ting!
I did spend some time this week teaching Puppy how to play properly. He's getting there. Slowly. And he still offers me food from his plate, so we've been mostly getting along.
Not much else to say other than I'd better head back to looking after all of them.
Mom and Puppy have been going out and coming in and I'm not invited to as many social occasion as I used to be because they're so busy. I do still get my daily walks, but honestly, I think I deserve more.
In good news, Mom is starting to get everything ready for Nosevember! For those that have never played the Nosevember Game, don't worry, we'll post some rules. Anyone who wants to participate in Nosevember can send me a nice picture of their face, full on, three quarter or profile to bolo(at)magma(dot)ca
Basically, Nosevember is a time to guess all of our friends noses.
And lastly, here's a video of me playing with my Yellow Buddy. I don't get to play with him as often as I used to mostly because Puppy's toys take up an awful lot of room. That's Puppy laughing in the background.
So I'm not the swimmer my pal Hero Shar Pei is, but occasionally, I will step into the lake.
Not only that, but I'll also go onto the dock. That's a little scarey because it moves as you walk on it. This is where Mom thinks I got bit by whatever bug got me. She was being attacked as she was filming. We went up to the house after this video was made. That's where Mom noticed I was swelling up.
Hi. Mayhem here. Look at this, I've been relegated to Wednesday! I should have been on Monday but Bolo thought his Adventure was more interesting than a Mayhem Monday. Pffft.
I'm just going to sulk here and keep guard on my backyard.
All that talking in the background is an audiobook Mom and Dad were listening to. Mom does say:
How are you doing there Bolo guy?
Are you going on Adventure?
Are you going on a Noseventure?
Lucky Bolo. Lucky Bolo!
You'll notice I'm not the most verbal of travellers. I USED to take up the whole backseat but since Puppy's seat went in, I only get half. And sometimes HE touches me. I don't like that so Mom has to "Play the police" on occasion. Anyway, back to my Noseventure!
It's been pretty dull and boring here. So boring in fact that Mom has had to resort to filming me while I'm falling asleep so we have something to blog about.
Yup, I snoopervised Mom and Grandad installing a ceiling fan. Sorry about the strange light, Grandad had a halogen light going. It was nice and toasty. I cuddled up to it later. Mmmm, toasty.
That was the excitement. At least Mom got some video so I had SOMETHING to blog about.
