To clarify matters....

There's been a little bit of confusion as to what colour I actually am. Oorvi asked the question in one of her comments if I was a "glamorous steel blue or a warm chocolate brown."

I have a diagram. I like diagrams, they help so much. Oorvi, and everypuppy else, my registered colour is black. You can really see it on this picture here. Black Peis look great on snow.I was just a puppy then so my colour really was intense. Even Grandmama has commented that I've changed colour since I was teeny tiny.

So this is me now. I'm still considered black, but I have all sorts of colourish bits. Oh, and a waggy bit and an investigating bit. My investigating bit gets me into all sorts of wonderful smelling things.

On top of that, Shar Peis are one of two breeds, that I know of anyway, that have a naturally blueish/purpleish tongue (the other one that I know of is the Chow). My tongue doesn't always have it's full colour. When I'm hot and panting, it's pink. I'll stick my tongue out at Mommy today and ask her to get a picture. It's such a trial getting that new camera into her hands (sarcasm alert!).

Right. Adventures await! Sniff ya later!

Wednesday Adventures!

So Mommy had to practice her White Balancing Act. I'm not sure what this is, but I said I'd help her out. I got a nice walk in return. I even saw the Lady Across The Street. I don't know her name but I saw her last year at the CIBC Run for the Cure. She recognized me in the thousands of people there. I must say I'm quite distinctive. Mommy is going to walk in the Run for the Cure again this year, I might not go because Mommy was thinking of taking the bus, it was kind of hard to get there last year because there was no parking whatsoever so Daddy couldn't join us.

Enough about that! Here we go, here's what you've all been waiting for! Pictures of ME helping Mommy with her White Balancing Act.

Mommy tied my long leash to the tree and the leash to my harness took pictures of me. I suffer for her art. Sigh.

It's tough to look this cute.

I think Mommy should do a photo study of my nose. Everyone wants to smooch it. She could probably print a book about it.

Then she could do one on my ears. They're very expressive.

Figures she would catch me mid-shake. She's been wanting to do that for a long time. I have to spoil her sometimes you know.

Can I have my walk now Mommy?

I got my walk, talked to the Lady Next Door and the Lady Across the Street and impressed Mommy again with my talent of doody doing near the garbage can. I'm quite a character she says. It's humid here and Daddy turned on the Central Air last night. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and find a vent to sleep on. Sniff ya later!

TUESDAY!

It's Tuesday!

Tuesday is softball day!

There's a big storm moving in though, so no softball. Sigh. Maybe I can convince Mommy that I'd make an excellent photographer's assistant for when she practices with her camera.

Oh, I heard THEM talking this morning about training me to pull a cart or wagon. Has anyone tried that? It sounds like it might be interesting.

No pictures today since Mommy was at work and I had the bed all to myself.

OH! I did have an adventure! Daddy called from the bus stop and we RUSHED out the door to RESCUE him. Again, no pictures because SHE was driving. She's going to have to re-evaluate her priorities I think.

Sniff ya later guys and gals!

I lost the B-A-T-H war

Heavy sigh. I ended up in the bath. And SHE took pictures! WAH! She said it was just to share with my friends. I don't think so. She ENJOYED it. Sick Sick Mommy I have. Well, here are the pictures anyway. Some of them are cropped closely. I was in the nude (without my collar) in some of them and I don't want this to be rated an adult site you know.
I took your advice and did my best to look cute and wonderful.

But that didn't work. That's my HELP ME! face I have on right there.

I know when I'm beat though and I went into the tub as gracefully as possible. Mommy and Daddy are always so impressed that I will do this on my own. But it doesn't stall the water from being turned on. Heavy sigh.

Pardon my butt there.

But I still was not amused. That's my suffering face.

I got a wet down.

A soaping.

A rinsing.

A pat down.

And a rollover bone. I made it though relatively unscathed. Thank you everyone for all your support.

And Mango, sure you can add me to your friends list. Thanks for the suggestion about going to the spa but I think I'd be much too uncomfortable. Doing this at home is bad enough, but at least I know Mommy and Daddy love me. And Mommy tends to kiss my nose while THEY are scrubbing me. I guess there are bonuses.

Sniff ya later every puppy!

Safe so far

OK, I've so far managed to distract them from that B-A-T-H idea THEY are formulating. I manged to be cute and wonderful and was a wonderful assistant while Mommy played with her new camera. If it weren't for the mess behind me, that would be a perfect Me shot.

As it is, it's still a wonderful shot. Mommy cropped out some of the mess.

Now excuse me for a moment, I'm going to try and convince them that we should go for a walk so Mommy can practice with her camera a bit more. I think she'll go for it. After my nap of course. I can't be such a wonderful model and assistant without napping afterwards. I need to conserve my strength. Sniff ya later!

In hiding

Shhhhh. I'm in hiding. I heard the dreaded B-A-T-H mentioned. Don't tell them where I am.

Bolo's Friday Weather Report

It's Friday! I don't know why that makes everyone excited, I really don't. I'm excited EVERY DAY!

So this morning Mommy and I saw Daddy off to work, then she ate breakfast and I was a pest. So SHE says. So she took me for a walk to "blow the stink off". I don't know why she said that. I didn't do ANYTHING stinky either before during or after the walk. Must be one of those things humans do. Just a little while ago, I was apparently being a pest again so Mommy let me outside into my backyard. And promptly took a picture. Whose being a pest NOW Mom?!?!

I convinced her that we also needed to check the front door, and since that faces West, I thought I'd do a Friday Weather report for you. So, here it is. Bolo's Friday Weather Report.

Where's my theme music? Meh, nevermind. Not a cloud in the sky. Mommy said that squiggly line is a contrail from a plane. Ok! I'm alright with this.

Doesn't look like rain! Big bonus for me! So, why aren't we outside doing something interesting? Oh, Mommy said she wants to go on the treadmill. Well hurry up Mommy!

And a Happy 4th of July to anyone who celebrates it. Sniff ya later!
