No picture Firday

I was super exhaustipeited yesterday after Day Care and fell asleep about the minute I got home. I've been busy this morning taking care of Mom. She's not feeling well, so no pictures. We're both exhaustipeited now. I think it's nap time.

I'd better get back to her, she really needs cuddles to make her feel better. She even said so. I'll check out everyones blogs while she's sleeping!

Noseventures!

I'm at Day Camp! Do you see my happy face?

I had huge Noseventures yesterday when we went to visit Auntie Brenda. I also got a bunch of bug bites. She lives with lots of bugs. But she also has these two HUGE green trees that are just prime pee-mail locations. Don't worry, I left a Dogs with Blogs message for everyone to join us.

Mom sent her laptop with me so I'll be following you from here - in between cuddles. The ladies here love the nose. I have lots to tell them about my latest Noseventures you know, and I'll need ooddles of ear scratches too.

Wordless / Whispering Wednesday

A rare picture of Mom and I. That's not my best side though. Sigh.

Sun? What's Sun?

Mom says that the sun is out so I had to go outside to check it out - this is after taking Dad's breakfast to work for him (I was in charge of the Sacred Coffee.) So Mom opened the door and we both went outside. Oddly enough, she had the camera, and actually used it. I on the other hand am covered in bug bites now. Sigh.

Can you see my happy bug bite face? At least there was a Noseventure - we beat Daddy to work so we walked around while we waited for him, that's where I got the bug bites. Oh, there's a hill on the way to Dad's office (you can see it here in the 3rd picture where I'm having a good shake). My Dad is awesome and he just power biked right up that hill! Go Dad! I was cheering you on, you know that right?

OH! Something exciting happened last night! Miss Cheryl who makes Daddy's subs came over! She smelled so different, not at all like a sandwich! She let me sniff her, she even giggled when I sniffed her feet. I got lots of loving, thank you Miss Cheryl!

Monday Morning Report

I had a busy weekend. Naps, cuddles, toys to play with, and noseventures to visit the neighbours. In all this excitement, was there even a single picture? NO. I had to root around for an older one. Sigh. Mom is slacking off. Grandad had better come back and visit or I may never get my picture taken AGAIN! That would be devastating.

So Mom and Dad came home from the store with a toy, all plushie and musical and they said it wasn't for me! Hmph. So I sulked. I don't sulk often, but I'm a pro, sorry, no pictures, blame HER. Anyway, I guilted her into giving me a toy from the toy closet! It's in pieces now, sorry, no pictures, blame HER. Anyway, Mom and Dad - Mom especially, have been coming home from stores lately that 1) I can't go into - this is a real bummer to me; and 2) with nothing for me but cuddles, which are cool, but you know, I need stuff too!

I'm going to practice my sulking. If you don't see any pictures, blame HER!

Bolo's Friday Weather Report and Other Adventures

It's raining here. AGAIN. Luckily I didn't get too wet going out for my morning walkies.

I'll stay inside today and play with my toys, and nap the rain away.

Just a reminder if you missed yesterdays post, I'd really like more info on Paw it Forward! If you can provide it, please let me know!

Stay dry every puppy!

Pei-Ess, Mom is doing much better.

Paw it Forward and Thank you Thursday!

Like a lot of pups out there, I was tagged for Paw It Forward. I'd like to thank Tom, Tama-Chan, Sei-Chan and #1 of The Poupounette for sending out a Paw It Forward Package to me!

I don't know much about Paw it Forward, I wish I knew a bit more. From what I understand, it was started by somepuppy to bring joy to another puppy. If you do a Google Search for Paw It Forward you come up with a DWB page and blog randomizer. I don't know where the idea of giving toys came from. OK, here's what we're going to do! To pass this along, I'm going to ask for more information on the Paw it Forward Campaign. Depending how many people reply, Dad and I will do a random draw to see who gets a little package of goodies from our house. You can also pee-mail me at bolo (at) magma (dot) ca

So, here's the box that I received from Tom and the Girls!

Ok, Mom is sick so I'd better get back to looking after her.

TUESDAY!

Yesterday was very busy, there was a lot of this going on:

I had a lot of backyard guarding to do. There has been a lot of it to do this morning too.

I'm allowed to tell you about the box I got in the mail yesterday, but only to say that I got a box in the mail. I'll show pictures on Thank You Thursday! I'll give you a hint, it's for Paw It Forward!

That's about all the excitement. I had to take Daddy to work this morning, I wish I could go and pick him up too, that way I could sniff my way up to his office again. Sigh. Maybe soon? Mom? Maybe soon?

I'd better go back to my window. There might be a squirrel in my backyard!

Monday Morning Report

Welcome back to my Monday Morning Report!

There was a lot of cuddling and napping at my house this weekend. Oh, and lots of rain. In between the raindrops I did get some Adventures. I went to visit the neighbours. For those of you who have been loyal readers for a while, you know I have some strange neighbours.

We're not sure of their names, but we are kind of happy that they're here.
I got to say Hi and dig up lots of grass. Dad brought them carrots. It's ok, I don't eat carrots.

That's about it for me, I've been looking out my window a lot too, making sure my back yard and my front yard are secure.

Hope everyone had a nice Adventuresome weekend!

Bolo's Friday Weather Report and Other Adventures

It's kind of sunny AND overcast, if that makes any sense to anyone.

As you all know, I had a busy day yesterday taking care of Dad. He's doing much better now, which is good. Mom came home not feeling too good so I immediately transferred my cuddling healing powers to her problem. She's feeling a little better now. Me on the other hand.... I'm exhaustipeited!

It's tough work looking after these two you know!

I did get morning cuddles as a thank you but you know, an Adventure wouldn't be too bad either. Mom? Dad? Is there an Adventure going on this weekend?

Busy Day Ahead!

Dad said he's staying home today to sleep. He hasn't been sleeping well and now he's feeling blechy. I've got a big job ahead of me. I've got to do this:

Yeah, Napping Buddy to the RESCUE! I'll make him feel lots better.

Excuse me, I have to herd him back to bed so we can get started.

Tally Pei Day!

I don't know about your pawrents, but mine often go Tally Ho! before we head out on Adventures. Today Mom said Tally Pei! So it's Tally Pei Day!

I got to do this:

but from the FRONT SEAT! The view is so much better there. But I really missed my window.

We drove Daddy's breakfast to work, but not Daddy. That was a little confusing. I did manage to sneak nose kisses as payment for bringing breakfast to him. Especially the Sacred Coffee. I'm the bestest apparently. Gee it's tough to be me.

The only bad part was that it was raining so I really didn't want to explore anything. It would have involved getting wet. Maybe I can nap the rain away.

Monday Morning Report

I don't know about anyone else, but I had a fantabulous weekend. My Grandpawrents came down to see ME. I think Grandad was cuddle deprived. It's ok. I gave him snuffles, aka Secrets of the Universe.

Look at that Happy Face! If he had a tail it would have been wagging!

I though Grandma needed some too, so I asked her:
She didn't want kisses but she was good for a few hundred ear scratches. That's ok. She gives GREAT ear scratches. Thank you Grandma!

As an aside, look what Miss Lea made them bring me:

I'm going to borrow a Siberian sound here and go WOOOOOO! Thank you Miss Lea at Poochini's! Honey Bones! Yummmmmm.

Well, the cookies are still here but Grandma and Grandad aren't - bummer. They didn't stay long enough in my opinion. They said they'd be back in August! I forgot to ask when, Mom will know. I'm going to get myself a callendar and count how many naps until they come back.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and a great Monday!

Bolo's Friday Weather Report and Other Adventures

I'm at Day Camp! Daddy walked me over this morning, it's beautiful and sunny. Mom sent her laptop with me so I'm all set to surf the quiet times away.

I had a noseventure last night! Mom and Dad took me to the Feed and Seed because Dad needed some wire for a project. I got to sniff SOOOOOO many things. The flowers were pretty too, but ti's all about the schnoz. Everything smeeled SOOOOOOO good. The cash person even gave me a cookie!

Grandma and Grandad come tomorrow! Be careful driving because there's a threat of thunderstorms in our area over the next few days.

Ooo! Gotta go, it's cuddle time!

Are they here yet?

It's only been 1 morning walk but I'm looking forward to Grandma and Grandad's visit. Although, I was dancing around yesterday after Daddy said fjord and heard Mommy talking to a lady on the phone and saying He'd like to come and play on Friday. I think I'm going to Day Care tomorrow! Like I didn't have enough excitement planned for this weekend!

I'm a little e'cited!

Mommy caught me mid running around, see my nose is blurry? Dad thinks I'm ready to pounce on the bamboo tree, actually, I was chasing Yellow Buddy, but it just goes to show how excited I am!

Grandma and Grandad are coming to visit ME this weekend. It's because they need Bolo cuddles, I can tell. And shhhh, I'll tell you a secret, Grandad said if I asked nicely he'd pick up some of Miss Lea's cookies for me. So I sent him a pee-mail that said, Please and thank you Grandad. And, here's the good part, he got me cookies! He's my hero.

They're coming on Saturday morning, today is Wednesday Morning so I only have to wait three more mornings! I wonder if I napped a lot today would the time go by faster?

Drive carefully Grandma and Grandad! But hurry over! I'm anxious to cuddle you!

Teaching Tuesday!

Welcome back to Teaching Tuesday! Today's lesson is on Snoopervising with distractions - this includes Snoopervising with your eyes closed.

I started my Snoopervising very early on in life. The picture above is me on my second day with Mom and Dad, I was maybe 4 months old. They were busy doing something but I needed to Snoopervise. It would have been a lot easier if I hadn't been in the kennel, but if I remember correctly, Dad was teaching Swordfighting, not safe for little puppies to be running around during a swordfighting class. Someone make a note of that, it's an important safety tip.

For those that need to know, which I think is everyone, you can Snoopervise while getting cuddles. Take a peek at the picture above. That's Grandma giving me scratches. She has nice nails so they were really good scratches. You can see I'm not watching Mom and her camera, my eyes were on Grandad, he was doing something interesting and I had to be ready to jump in and help, because that's what Snoopervisers do on occasion.

And now onto the tricky one! Snoopervising with your eyes closed! People don't realize this but a dog's hearing is actually quite better than a human's. Sure we may not always come when called. It's not that we can't hear you, it's that we're independant beings with opinions of our own and we don't want to go see you at the moment. Snoopervising with your eyes closed involes good listening skills AND good sniffing skills. Snoopervising with your eyes closed could very well involve food being around. You never know. The above picture shows me Snoopervising with my eyes closed AND with a distraction. This is an Advanced Technique. Feel free to try it, but remember not to get too distracted. You're there to Snoopervise!

I think that's it for today. Remember that if you want to send me pictures of you doing Snoopervisory work, I can be reached at bolo (at) magma (dot) ca

Pei-Ess I'll talk tomorrow about my excitement over Grandma and Grandad's visit!

Monday Morning Report

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine had it's ups and downs. More ups though so it was great.

Saturday started off with a nap, a great way to start the day in my opinion. Then in the afternoon and evening I had my job cut out for me! We had an invasion of people! That means I was on high alert in the barking and sniffing area. At the end of the day I was EXHAUSTIPEITED! It was nice for all of them to go home, except one who stayed and I had to sniff him in the morning. He was very good about it. He even threw my yellow buddy around for me.

That's Mom's hand, but you get the idea. BTW, this proves that I actually have teeth. I'm sure many of you have wondered about that.

Sunday was really quiet. I got a noseventure in the morning, then a nap with Mom, Dad came home and I had a nap with him, then, sigh, I had a bath. Then a cuddle up with Dad when it was time for bed.

Mom says next weekend will be busy too and I know why! My Grandma and Grandad are coming over! I'm so excited. I have to practice my cuddling, I want to be in A #1 shape to cuddle with them. Maybe I'll even sneak a kiss onto Grandma's nose! Pei laughter.

Bolo's Friday Weather Report and Other Adventures

Well, like every morning this week, it's raining. And like every afternoon this week, it'll probably be sunny today. Wish it would make up it's mind. Or be sunny when I have to go out and do my thing. I don't like getting wet you know. Mom was surprised I didn't melt away to nothing I'm so sweet. I may be sweet Mom but I'm not soluble! Pei laughter. Sorry, that's an inside joke. Dad is always asking me if I'm soluble.

So, my plan for today is this:

Find a comfy place and stretch out and wait for some sunshine. There's plenty of room if anyone wants to join me.

Everything Thursday!

I don't know about any of you, but I had FUN yesterday. You can read about my Family Napping Day here. Today doesn't look like it will be another Family Napping Day but something was mentioned about an short little Adventure. WOHOO. I'm there!

So, yesterday was Canada Day and last night there were these curious boomy things going on. So, of course, being Snoopervisor of the World Since it was Flat, I had to check it out. (This picture is from earlier in the afternoon, but you get the idea right?)

This is a very advanced technique so those of you taking my snoopervising class, be very careful, I don't want any of you to get hurt. So there I was last night, trying to look out the window and Daddy's head was where I usually put my feet. So I snuffled and whined and let him know he was ruining my Snoopervising, so he moved. Those boomy things were still booming but I saw NOTHING. Sigh. So I got down and cuddled up to THEM. Then the boomy things started again and I wanted to see if anything was happening. Good luck moving HIM. Not even a whine could move him. Sigh. So Mommy gave me cuddles instead. It was ok, but I wish Dad had moved. I'm sure I missed soemthing important. Ok, maybe not as important as Bolo Sandwich Cuddles, but it might have been!

Oh, BTW, Mom calls that pose my Kobold pose. Not sure what a Kobold is but she smiles when she says it so it must be good right?

Family Napping Day!

It's Canada Day today, which means it was Family Napping Day! That's Daddy's leg you can see behind me, Mom is the one taking the picture. Mom said she napped almost 3 hours. It's because I was her napping buddy. Dad napped maybe another 45 minutes longer than Mom, but he got to the nap a little later than she did, again, I was the napping buddy on that one. With a brief pee break in there. When you have to pee you have to pee.

So, is tomorrow another Family Napping Day? Please say it is.

Sniff ya later!

Pei-Ess - Happy Canada Day too!
