Thinking and Thanking Thursday

I've posted my Thinking Face today.

My cousin Keiko Cat has crossed the Bridge. I'm disappointed because this is the only picture Mom could find of her in our collection.
She was with Uncle Brett for 16 years, and she was probably closer to 20 years old or so all told. Aunt Angela said it was Cancer that finally got her. Is there anyway we can Power of the Paw all the cancer away from the world? Is that pawsible?

Pei Sigh. I want to thank Miss Jenn for coming over today to give me ear scratches. That was so nice Miss Jenn. I also have to thank Uncle Marty and Aunt Sharon. I know who sent that football! And the cookies! (More on the cookies later).

I'm going to think some more.

Monday Mix-Up

Mom and Puppy went out yesterday and they both came back smelling like this:

That's Khaya. Yeah, she was giving Khaya the ear scratches that were meant for ME! I'm very upset.

They did kind of make up for it by taking me on TWO noseventures yesterday. One with Dad to something called a Fruit Stand. Oh, the smells! The smells! And the other to something called Dairy Queen. Dairy Queen has a really nice walking area. I left lots of pee-mail.

What do you think? Does that look like an evil glint in my eye?

Photo Friday!

Ha Ha! Fooled you! That's not me. That's my cousin Khaya. She's a Portuguese Water Dog. She's also a bit of a goof. As if you couldn't tell. We had some very nice visits while I was over at her house last week. We weren't allowed to do much rough and tumble playing because Puppy was on the floor. Oh well. We still had fun.

I've been really busy this week taking care of Mom and Puppy. Apparently there is some excitement planned for next week though. I'm looking forward to it!

And just so you don't forget what I look like, here I am in classic Frootbat Friday pose!

Have a great weekend!

Wonderful Wednesday!

I had to share this. While we were off gallivanting at Granny and Bionic Granpa's house, my Grandad went and found me my own plane!

Is that cool or WHAT! (Photo by Grandad BTW) Of course Uncle Marty will be my pilot.

I'm not quite sure how many of my friends I could sneak in there though. We'll have to investigate.

To keep you all going, here's another picture of me being brave.

Special Tuesday

A big Thank you to Grandma and Grandad for taking Puppy out of my hair this afternoon so Mom could help me blog. I appreciate it.

Anyway, today is a special day. It`s my Granny`s Birthday! (Not Grandma who took Puppy, but Granny, who we visited this past week.)

Unfortunately no one happened to get any pictures of ME with the Birthday Granny, but she knows I love her.

While we visited last week we had a chance to celebrate a little early with her, her Mom, and two of her three sisters. I`ll give you the highlights of the day.

The best place to be is under the table.

So that when the cake comes by, you can snag yourself a little nibble.

Cake always falls on the floor you know. The rule is if it falls on the floor it belongs to the Pei. Or dog, whichever applies. Mom says to tell you that I didn`t get a HUGE piece, but the crumbs were good too!

In other news, Puppy offered me his cookie today at lunch. I`m not sure if I should have taken it.

Monday Report

Well, as you may or may not know, I was on vacation last week at Granny and Bionic Grandpa's. They live on a lake - I still wondering why you'd want to live near that much water, but to each their own. The also have a lot of bugs zooming around. A lot of them seem to like my bottom. I didn't appreciate being bitten on my bottom repeatedly and complained about it to Mom. Not much she could do about it though she did try.

Mom said not to bother this little guy because he's doing pest control:

Yeah, it's a frog that lives in Granny's pond fountain thing. More water. Blech. But pest control I can appreciate. Thank you Mr. Frog.

Anyway, Dad and Puppy spent WAY too much time in the thing called The Lake. Shudder. (Mom was smart and stayed on land with me, and not just because her camera isn't waterproof.) All that water. Me, being a Shar Pei, needed to be close, to keep an eye on them. Unfortunately, the only way to be close to them was to be VERY brave and go out on the dock.

See all that water? It's WET! Mom says I'm smiling.

Hmmm. Maybe so but only because I was heading towards land.

Double Sneaky Sunday

You'll NEVER guess where I've been!

I've been on VACATION!

We just came back from a family trip where we visited Granny and Bionic Grandpa. For a whole WEEK!

Mom took 300 pictures, about half of them of ME. A few other things too, but lots of ME. She's downloading them now, so look for them appearing in my blog this week.

Mom says she has to do grocery shopping because they want to eat supper tonight - I'd gladly share my kibble, but NOOOOO, she wants vegetables. Whatever. Anyway, we'll visit everyone after grocery shopping.

Glad to be back. I missed you all!

Sneaky Saturday

So I was VERY sneaky this morning and when I went to downstairs to let Mom know that I needed to use the facilities, I was NAKED! Somehow I had scratched my collar of during the night. Mom didn't take any pictures because this is a Family rated blog you know. Anyway, it was very sneaky of me. Pei laughter! The interesting thing about Shar Peis and their collars is that they slip off VERY easily. The collars I mean.

Anyway, I discovered something VERY interesting while I was practicing my stealthy sneaky ninja pei technique of hiding under the dining room table:

See Exhibit A from Grandma and Grandad's House:

See? VERY stealthy sneaky ninja pei-ish.

Anyway, the important thing that I discovered, Puppy has begun to drop food stuff off the table. Interestingly tasty food stuffs. Like these little apple flavoured round things about the size of my nose. Then there are the things he wears around his neck, bibs Mom calls them. Sometimes they happen to fall on the floor. The rule is, as I'm sure everyone knows, if it's on the floor, it belongs to the dog ...ME. Often times there are tasty things in those bib things and face clothes. Like something called a noodle. They are usually covered in something called sauce.

It doesn't quite make up for him splashing his hands into my water bowl though. Or making Mom block off my food bowl so no one can get at it when Puppy is crawling all over MY floor. Sigh. She does pick him up off the floor when I need to eat though. She says Puppy and I should never socialize while we eat. I must agree with her on this one.

What is this Wednesday

I've been very busy getting cuddles and napping and not being let outside because it's WAY too hot for a little black pei. Then Mom showed up with:

What is this?

Stuff on Sunday

Well I just heard some thing about a name game. Mom really should help me get on more often, I almost missed this!

So, how did I get my name. Well, if you're here than you know that my name is Bolo. I was named after the Chinese Martial Artist Bolo Yeung. Dad wanted my full name to be "And Now They Must Prove Themselves Worthy to Remain Among Us, Bolo". Well that didn't quite fit on the adoption form, so I just got Bolo.

I have since discovered that there are a lot of Bolo's out there. Check these out! I like the one where my name means Be On the LookOut. Yeah. Watch out for me, I'm gonna drool on you! Pei laughter.

Forgotten Friday

Well, I'm convinced that you've all forgotten what I look liked. So here I am.

I'm not impressed with Mom right now. Everyone was home yesterday because it was Canada Day and only 3 pictures were taken of ME - but Puppy had a bunch taken of him. Sigh.

Not only that, but he's moving on his own now and there really isn't a place that's safe for me right now. I was lucky enough to get Mom to move over on the couch and we had a HUGE couch cuddle yesterday, and Puppy couldn't reach my tail. Oh and there have also been a few Bolo Cuddle Sandwiches. Oh, and another couch cuddle today.

I've learned that if you want something badly enough, you have to make it happen for yourself. Which is why I pushed Mom off the couch for my couch cuddles. Well, OK, I didn't really push her OFF, I just moved her over.

OH! I did get something very special today. A visit from one of my bestest human friends. Miss Jenn. She gives some of the BEST ear scratches. You know, the kind which get the back leggy going? Oh yeah. I missed you Miss Jenn! Come back soon!
