Happy December!

Oh WOW! It's December already! I'm posting the Nosevember answers below but first I need to tell you what we did yesterday. I went Adventuring! I slept all morning to gather my strength, and then Mommy took my to rescue Daddy from his swordfighting class, then we went to the Pet Store where I got to sniff this guy who smelled like 3 different Airedales! I was looking for you Maggie, Mitch and Bogart. But I wasn't sure about your smells. It might have been you, might not. Then I had to sniff the Shar Pei lady! I've met her before, her and her brother both have Peis. She and Mom giggled together at the snorts I made. What they didn't know was that I was laughing at them too. Pei laughter.

Oh, and Mom talked to Grandma and Grandad this weekend and I've been invited back for Christmas this year. Last year was the first time any doggy had ever been allowed at Grandma and Grandad's house and Grandma said I was gentleman and that I was invited back. I'm going to have to get my piss and vinegar out before I go to thier house because I want to be invited back for a 3rd Christmas!

I had a few adventures yesterday but what's really ticking me off right now is Mommy closed me out of the bedroom! My ears are itchy and I'm shaking my head a lot. With my jowls and ears flapping Mommy says I'm making too much noise and Daddy NEEDS TO SLEEP. So she pushed me out of the bedroom. Now I'm laying here in the hallway, looking mournfully at the door and trying to shake that cold ear medicine out of my ears!. I hope I'll be allowed back in. (Mom here, Dad has a big test today and needs a good nights sleep. What Bolo doesn't seem to realise is I've pushed myself out of the bedroom too, so he's not alone. Silly guy.)

As I was saying, adventures. We took Daddy to work yesterday morning and then picked him back up. That's twice this week I've been on rescue duties. We got there early today and I got to munch and sniff snow. I also managed to sneak myself into Dad's office! HA! Some nice man was talking to Mom and the door was open and he said I could go in and find Daddy if I wanted to! So I did! Dad said I wasn't subtle. My dog tags gave me away. Darn it.

We came back home and they didn't even take of my leash and we were back out the door! I wasn't sure why until we started for the farm on the property behind us. And this is what we saw!

It's still snowing here. I don't mind so much, but it made us a little late for rescuing Daddy at work yesterday. And all the snow has covered up the giant squirrel holes. Mom says they're all hibernating. So I had to eat snow instead of sticking my head down the holes. Oh well. Such is life.

Then gentle leader hasn't made it back to the store yet. My old harness went on yesterday and today. I'm not happy about the harness, but at least I'm used to it. Mommy walked me with just my collar yesterday morning but she had to be careful because if I get behind her and hunch my shoulders a bit, I can slip out of it! I'm so sneaky. No escapes, just lots and lots of sniffing!

So, yeah, my adventures today. First of all, we had snow. Look at me sniffing the air. Mommy wimped out and stayed inside. Good thing she has a telephoto lens and we have a small backyard.


I overhead Mom and Dad talking at supper and it looks like the Gentle Leader might be going back to the store! Oh boy oh boy oh boy! It doesn't sit very well on me, rides up to my shoulders and stuff. Mom doesn't have much confidence in it. Especially when the belly band came undone on a busy street. I swear it was an accident, not an accident on purpose. Paws crossed that it goes away.

Nosevember 25th! In one month it will be Christmas. How wonderful that I got my first Christmas Card today! It was from Maggie and Mitch! Thank you M&M! Mom says you have really nice handwriting. She was so busy examining the handwriting that there are NO pictures. I'll bug her about that today.

I had LOADS of Adventures yesterday. And where was the camera? AT HOME.

First of all, I had to drive Daddy to work. Then we came home for breakfast. We went out after my early morning nap. Mommy left me in the car FOREVER and then came back and I got to sniff a new place and leave pee-mail! Then she took me to a pet store! I love it when I can walk into the stores instead of waiting outside. I got to startle the birds and I watched the cats walk over my head in really long walkways throughout the store. WAY COOL!

Mommy bought me a gentle leader harness though. I blame Dexter for having his picture taken with his on. Mom thinks it's going to stop me from pulling. Uh hunh. You keep thinking that Mom.

We went into a garden centre store too! I LOVE the smell of graden centre stores. And I was able to mooch some cookies. It's all about the cookies. It was nice to come home and nap after all that.

I napped all afternoon and then Mommy and Daddy came home! They smelled like chicken so I made sure to lick thier fingers. No doggy bags apparently. The trials and tribulations I go through. Pei sigh.

I'd better go bug Mom into taking my picture or I'll never get it back on MY blog.

Well, even though there are yet NO PICTURES TO PROVE IT, all our Christmas Cards are signed and sealed. I snoopervised Mom doing that on Saturday and then she sealed them at work this morning. She apparently licked SOME of them, the rest she used a wet cloth. Slacker. I would have licked them all - well, no, probably not.

Happy Nosevember 22nd! I did a lot of snoopervising yesterday. The revision on the card, then chosing the doggies we'd send it to - we can't afford to send to everyone, not that Mom is cheap, but 146 cards at 99 cents each plus stamps is a lot more than my allowance of 4 cookies a day. We'll send email cards too. I think all of my friends that I could find in the list have an address label already to go though. As soon as Mommy picks up the cards.

I had such a fun time yesterday. Auntie Brenda came over again, no more accidental butt whacking, we had a chat about her respecting my space. Then two more people who smelled really INTERESTING came over to try the Wii. Mom said the lady was a friend from work, and the man was her husband. They let me sniff them and were very polite while I did that before they walked in the door. It's nice to have polite guests.

We were off to pick up Daddy after they all did their stupid movements in front of the tv. I was able to have a bit of a nap before Uncle Brett and Aunt Angela came over! WHEEE! So many things to sniff yesterday. Boy was that fun! I've got to go and bug Mommy about what we're doing today. I hope there's more sniffing.

Oh, I also got in on some super mondo Bolo cuddling this weekend. Ahhhhhhh. Life is good.

It's been a busy cuddle weekend for me. Especially after the smoke detector went off while there was some cooking going on. I climbed up into Mommy's lap to get cuddles. She's not just a pair of opposable thumbs you know. She's useful for comforting cuddles too. (Mom here, the smoke alarm goes off anytime the oven is set over 350 degrees F. It's not being used as a kitchen timer!)

Sorry this post got out late, I had to take care of Mommy. She had an adventure yesterday and came back tired and with a headache. That means that I had to take care of her. Of course, I was tired after my adventure too so that meant we both fell asleep really early. Pei laughter. That's right. I had an ADVENTURE yesterday! I went to Day Care! And had an ice cream! I REALLY enjoyed the ice cream. I might ask Santa to get me some for Christmas. I think that's a GREAT idea!

November, or Nosevember Pei laughter, has always been a very busy month for our family with all sorts of birthdays and Remembrance Day, which is very important for Mommy. But today is also a historically significant day to our family. Today would have been JaJa's birthday. JaJa was my mom's mom mom. So, my great gran. She crossed the bridge at Easter and we were all very sad. We still miss her very much. In her honour, this next nose belongs to the dog that shared her life for a very long time.

Although, watching her do the "run" while I'm sitting on the sofa and she's not even facing the tv because she's kissing my nose is very nice.

I did get an adventure yesterday. No one bothered to bring a camera, of course, because we were going to the camera store. Memory was half price. They should have bought more, they forgot the camera at home! So there are no pictures of me scaring those people as I came around the corner at the fruit and veggie store. You know, if people had a better sense of smell, I would not have come as such as surprise to those people and the woman wouldn't have insulted me by saying move your dog away please. (Mom here, there wasn't anywhere else we could go, unless we pushed the lady's husband and their shopping cart off the sidewalk, or climbed the wall.) Some people are just rude. It's ok lady, I didn't want to smell you anyway.
