Monday Morning Report

Welcome to Bolo's Monday Morning Report! I'm your host Bolo!

I would like to introduce you to my Squeaky Squirrel. It's supposed to be a Hide and Seek type game but I'm not into Hide and Seek Games. I'm into Squeak the Squeaker games! I got a box for my birthday on Friday!

The squirrels fit very nicely into my mouth and then I run around the house chewing on them. It make a great sound. Mommy and Daddy love hearing me squeak things, I can tell. Grandma and Grandad got me Squeaky Squirrels for Christmas last year and Mommy gave me one while they all opened the rest of their presents and I remember Grandma and Grandad were very surprised at how insistent my squeaking was.
Granny was the one who first gave me the squirrels when I was just a little puppy. Here are pictures from my first squirrels ever!On a side note, I see that you can buy extra squirrels. That picture of the squirrels (the one at the top, not the ones with me in it) is from a local pet store's website, Critter Jungle. Mommy has a friend who works there. Maybe we should go and visit and get more squirrels. Mom? Mom? Ask Daddy for the car please!

Saturday Adventures

Turns out I'm not the only one my pawrents know with a birthday in September! Go figure. We went to a birthday swordfighting tournament this afternoon! Daddy is a very good swordfighter. The birthday party was for me (obviously), Brenda, Kim and Lorne, friends of my pawrents. It was nice of them to include me. They even sang. And they cut the cake with a sword too. See:

That's Daddy swinging at the apple on the pell for a cutting demonstration. Behind him are Austin, Pierre and David. They were all fighting in the tournament too. Oh, just so you know, Daddy won the tournament. He also made the pell (the wooden thing holding the apple).
I was able to have a snooze in the sunlight while we were waiting for people to show up. As you can see, I came prepared. Squeaky squirrel, check; honey bone, check; food and water, check. OH! I haven't introduced you to Squeaky Squirrel, maybe I can do that tomorrow.

I also went walkabout and cheered on both Daddy AND Uncle Brett. That was tough, especially when they were fighting each other. I also got lots of cuddles. That's a great picture of Daddy and I isn't it? OH, and I made sure to give Brenda (she says I can call her Auntie Brenda) a nose kiss, because we're both September babies. Pei laughter.

And, because I love you all, here's a nose shot to keep you going.
Now excuse me, I'm exhausti-pei-ted and I'm going to nap.

Bolo's Friday Weather Report and Other Adventures

Dun dah dah dah! Welcome to Bolo's Friday Weather Report! I'm your host, Bolo. It's a very special weather report today because, wait for it,

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!
I am officially three years old. Before I get on to my life story, here's my weather report picture.
The focus if off Mom, what were you thinking? S'ok, I still love you. I have a feeling it's going to be blechy today.
Luckily, I grabbed some sun yesterday, so I have a bit of a supply to work with. Is everyone comfy? Good. It was three years ago today that I was born. Mommy and Daddy don't know all of the specifics, and I don't have a lot of memories of my being born day, I was very young at the time, but we do know that my birth mom had trouble in labour and that two of my sibs were born on the front steps of the house, one in the car and we think that I, being the runt, and possibly the youngest, was born on the steps of the vet hospital.
Could you ever believe that I was the runt? It doesn't show anymore does it? Pei laughter.

I want to thank Maggie and Mitch for being the first ones, outside of my Mom and Dad, to wish my Happy Birthday! Here's the message they posted at way too early this morning,

Guess what? Today is your birthday, Bolo! Happy birthday! Enjoy your special day!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Thanks Maggie and Mitch!

I don't quite know what all the plans are, but I heard something about a special shopping trip for a new toy! Wohoo! I hope it's a squirrel!

I've already gotten my birthday cookie.
Yummmm. Honey bones.
Hmmm. What to do what to do.I think I will hide it for later.Shhhh. I've hidden it. I'll have it later, after my morning birthday nap.I'm sending hugs and wags and nose kisses to everyone today for just stopping by to celebrate with me!

More Nose Report!

OK, Mom's feeling better. Thanks for all the pawsitive thoughts. I'll stay with her through today and that should give her the kick she needs to get back in the swing of things.

BUT, I need to blog so I'll do more of my Nose Report for everyone. I'm your Reporter Pei, Bolo, reporting for duty! Pei laughter.

Our first guest is the Hairy Nosed Wombat. Kissable, but I don't know about the hair.

Next up the Marine Toad. I think this is also the one called the Cane Toad. Kissable, I guess. Not my first choice for nose kisses though. Aren't they poisonous?

This is a red-bellied short neck turtle. A small nose, but plenty enough to kiss if you wanted to.

A bearded dragon. A cute nose, kissable, easy to find.

A black tree monitor lizard. Nice nose, easy to find, partially kissable.

Moon Jellyfish. I couldn't find a nose, but I refuse to disqualify anyone based on a lack of nose! (This is Grandad's picture. Mommy's Jellyfish picture wasn't as nice, don't tell her I said that.)Brownbanded Bamboo Shark. You can see him just to the left of the brain coral behind the other coral. Good nose, kissable - if he wasn't in the water. I'd better check what he eats before I let anyone approach him. I wouldn't want to lose any friends because of him.
Bennet's Wallaby. Hmm, maybe they are the same as the other wallaby. Maybe Charlie Daniels will know, they're native to Australia too. Nice nose, easy to find.
And your common Shar Pei. Good nose, easy to find, Extrememly kissable. Pei laughter.

That's all I have time for and it's a nice breaking point because that was the end of the Autralasian Pavillion. We'll hit the Eurasian Pavilion next. This is Reporter Pei Bolo, signing off.

I'm so busy!

Well, Mommy is sick again. She was up at really early this morning locked in the little room with the B-A-T-H in it making some really interesting noises.

Oh, that reminds me, I got a B-A-T-H last night. Luckily no pictures were taken because I was NAKED! Daddy took off my collar and gave me a good chin scratch. But you know I want to keep this a family friendly blog and having naked pei pictures.... that's just not right.

So, Mommy, I'm going to watch you get better and make sure you take your medicine and have a few naps with me. That'll make you all better.
I'm glad everyone enjoyed my Nose Report yesterday, I'll try and have more next week, or maybe tomorrow if nothing else interesting pops up around here. I'm sure those animals have equally kissable noses as mine though. Maybe not as kissable as MINE, but I think they'd be kissable.

Oh, Mommy's running to the little room. I'd better go stand guard!

The Tuesday Nose Report

I don't think it comes as a surprise to anyone that I have a kissable nose. Or smoochable is the term that you all tend to use. I'm ok with that. I'm big on smooches. For anyone who was wondering, some of my friends call me suedeface, because apparently kissing my nose is like kissing suede. Seeing as how my nose has a fan club, I tought I'd go through the animal kingdom and check out other creatures' noses for kissability. So, I bid you welcome to Tuesday's Nose Report. I'm your Reporter Pei, Bolo. Welcome.

For this most interesting of reports, I made use of the fact that my parents were going to the Metro Toronto Zoo. A somewhat impormptu trip, which I wish I could have joined them at but apparently they have a No Pets policy. I'll need to get a press badge for the next trip I guess.

Our first nose kiss belong to my Uncle Brett. Either that or he's trying to shove the snake UP his nose. I would say both have kissable noses, Uncle Brett's might be a bit easier to reach, seeing as how it's bigger than the snake's.
Just as a note, Uncle Brett doesn't live at the zoo, this is from the weekend before the zoo trip and I realized I hadn't show the picture off and it fit really well with the theme, so I included it.

Our second picture belongs to the Stingray. Daddy and Grandad had a chance to pet them! Mommy just took pictures. This stingray thought it might be cool to check out who these people were above the water. If you can find his nose, I think it would be kissable.

This guy is much bigger than he looks. It's the komodo dragon at the zoo. He's venomous and has a very dirty mouth. Literally. Full of bacteria that's not good for a body if he decides to take a nip of you. I'm sure his nose is probably kissable, but I'm not going to be the first one to go and check it out.
Let me introduce you to Matschie's Tree Kangaroo. Now THAT is a cute kissable pink nose. He must have known I was doing a nose expose don't you think?

Our last picture for today is the Swamp Wallaby. I can't find him in the zoo's animal directory, but I'm pretty sure he's different form the other wallaby they have (I'll post about them next time!) Look at that nose though! Don't you just want to smooch it!

That's all the time I have for The Nose Report for this week. I'm your Reporter Pei, Bolo, signing off.

Sniff ya later!

Monday Morning Report

There they are in my cookie jar! Oh boy those are good cookies. I'm trying to figure out how to get more of them into my mouth. Still working on that. Any tips you may have, I'll try.

So, welcome to Bolo's Monday Morning Report. It's not quite morning here anymore, but it's morning somewhere and that's what's important right? Right. So, this lovely award that Mango sent me. Let me check the rules.
The Rules:
1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least seven other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs that you've nominated.

At least 7 other blogs eh? OK. I'm giving it to ALL my regular readers because you know what, I can't exclude anyone. I'm not that sort of puppy. If I didn't enjoy reading your blogs my dear friends, I would not be here creating my own. Nose kisses to everyone!

As an aside, when Mango gave me the award he said my face might be more smoochable than his. We really don't need to get into smoochable face wars ok? Lets just say we're equally smoochable. Besides, Mango outweighs me. By a LOT.

And now the obligatory nose shot!Oh! Stay tuned for tomorrow! Mommy and Daddy did a very special project for me when I was at the Overnight Camp! I'll start show casing it tomorrow!

Sniff ya later!
