Send me your noses!

Happy Weekend Everyone! I hope everyone is having a great time. My weekend started this morning with a Bolo Cuddle Sandwich! Pei laughter. Then Daddy went out so I was stuck napping with Mommy. Forced to nap in her arms, then against her leg, then her shoulder! Pei sigh. The things I have to do for her.

So I want to thank those puppies who've already sent me their noses for my November Nose Expose! Thank you thank you thank you! For those who are interested and haven't sent any in yet, here's what I'm planning. I will show you a nose like this:
If you can guess what breed of dog this is by the nose, you get a point. Just leave your answers in my comments and Mommy will tally them up (she likes to play with spreadsheets, go figure). I think I'll give you options as to the breed. So this one could be a Poodle, a Pomeranian, a Portuguese Water Dog or a Pug.

If you can guess WHOSE nose it is, you get a bonus point!

This one happens to be my cousin Khaya! A Portuguese Water Dog! Thank you Khaya. I'll post the answers to the Nose Expose at the end of the week. Or should I wait the whole month? Ideas? Suggestions?

So don't foregt to send me your face pictures, or just noses, to bolo at magma dot ca, with the @ and the . of course.

Dad surprised Mom yesterday with a present to help with the Nose Expose. Wait, shouldn't that have been a gift for me? Mom, you'll share right? Right? Mom? Oh, sorry, back to the important stuff. Dad got Mom AND I a copy of Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 to help with all the noses. Mom and I were looking at it last night and there's a buttonizer feature. I'd like to try my hand at button making. So I hope to have a button available for this before November. Mom and are are still in the Tutorial. We're working on it!

Ok, back to work, Daddy's home so I have to cuddle him.

Sniff ya later!

The Nose Report

Welcome back to this Final Edition of the Nose Report with the animals at the Metro Toronto Zoo. I'm your host, Reporter Pei Bolo.

I'd like you to welcome this pair of important birds. They are Sacred Ibis. Ibis? Ibises? Ibisi? Easy to find nose, close to the ground for kissability. Yeah, I think they qualify.

Then there are the Lake Malawi Cichlids. These guys are meant eaters so I don't recommended nose kisses. If you want to keep YOUR nose anyway.

Meet the West African Dwarf Crocodile. He's another one to watch out for, he'll eat you little puppies and kitties. I wouldn't want that, no matter how easy it is to find his nose.

And finally, the Lowland Gorilla. This one is a female, but their Silverback male is residence, Charles, is apparently a sight to see. She has a kissable nose. I don't know if she'd let us get close enough to kiss though. I'll have to try.

HA! Tricked you! You thought I'd put a picture of me didn't you? Pei laughter. This is my predecessor Shih Kwan. His nose was apparently very kissable too. I thought I'd share. It's also a great way to say that I'd love to get pictures of all of your noses so that I can do a NOSE EXPOSE in November. I'm thinking of running a contest. Guess That Nose. I'll have to talk to Mommy and Daddy about a prize or two for the winners if I do run it. Mom and Dad are working on getting me an email address so you can send them to me directly. More news on that once we get everything up and running so look through all your albums to find your best nose pictures!
And finally, I got two of these! One from the Texas Sun Dogs, and one from Tom and Sen-Chan at The Poupounette. Thank you! I'd like to send this out to....EVERYONE! If I didn't like your blog, I wouldn't have it on my sidebar. So there! If I don't have you on my sidebar, please make a comment so that I can put you on my sidebar and keep track of you.

Sniff ya later!

Pei-Ess, I took part in "Our Littlest Memories". Here's the blog; and here's my story! But I would suggest you go through and read a bunch of other peoples. I've seen Lorenza so far and Maggie and Mitch. I'll keep checking this week to see who else I recognize.

The Nose Report

Hello everyone! Reporter Pei Bolo here for the Nose Report. (Daddy missed having the Nose Report on Tuesday, so here we are.) Today we have some of the world's most famous noses. I'd like to thank our guests for coming on, I know they have busy schedules.

Our first guest today is the River Hippopotamus. These guys are vegetarian, but they're also one of the most dangerous creatures in Africa, so be careful when you go nose kissing.
Our next guest is the African Elephant. You can tell it's an African Elephant because it's ears are shaped like Africa. That's what my Mom says anyway and I trust her. Now this guys has a GREAT nose. Even our littlest friends will be able to kiss that. He could even give Nose Cuddles! Doesn't that sound like the best of both worlds?

Meet the Mandarill. They have colourfull noses. This one look sad though, he must know we're coming to the end of the nose report. I have to start getting the DWB Noses in order apparently. Anyway, he has a nice nose, definitely kissable.

And finally there's me! Wait, no, too much water to be me. So it muct be the Pygmy Hippopotamus! Dad says about the only difference between us is that Pygmy Hippo lives in the water and I try not to go near the stuff. He can have it! I'll stay dry. But look at the nose!

Phew, there I am!

So that's the Nose Report for today, this is Reporter Pei Bolo signing off!

In other news, I forgot to mention that I went to Eduardo the Snuggle Puggle's Birthday this past Saturday, Charlie Daniels nominated me for a Photo of the Month on the DWB Bone Zone, I'll have to let you know when voting begins for that; and Mommy sprayed me with water and something to make the itchies go away. It worked, but I was NOT amused. (Mom here. Baking Soda and Water to ease the itches from the allergy/hives he got. Thank you Aunt Angela for recommending it.) You can see why it took me two days to remember all the stuff I did this weekend. I was SUPER BUSY! I miss my Grandma and Grandad though. Are you coming back soon?

Sniff ya later!

The Nose Report

Welcome to Bolo's Nose Report. I'm your Reporter Pei, Bolo.
Our first guest today is the African Lion. Lioness actually. The Lion wasn't being photogenic and Mommy only got the back of his head. He OBVIOUSLY hadn't gotten the memo about my Nose Kissability Report. Uhm, she's a carnivore so just be careful about running up and kissing her nose.

Next up is the Cheetah. She's also a carnivore, and runs very fast, so we'd all have to be careful kissing her nose. Hmmm. Maybe we should just blow kisses at them instead.
Mommy isn't sure what this is, but it could be a baby Kudu. He's kind of cute. I like his ears. And that's a kisssable nose!
Then there's Grevy's Zebra. Hi. Your nose is close enough that even my daschi friends would be able to kiss it! Coolness! I think that's a kissable nose.
Then THIS GUY AGAIN! Pei laughter. It's a good thing he's handsome isn't it?

That's all for the Nose Report today. I'm Reporter Pei Bolo signing off.

Phew! Now that's done I can answer questions from the last two days. The game the people were playing on the Wii was Raving Rabbids 2. And no one needs to worry, I've had communication about my cookies, Grandma and Grandad will be here with the cookies on Saturday. Three cheers for Grandma and Grandad for saving my cookie jar! Hip Hip? A Pei! Hip Hip? A Pei! Hip Hip? A Pei! Pei laughter.

Sniff ya later!

The Nose Report

Welcome back to The Nose Report, I'm your Report Pei, Bolo, ready for action!

Our first guest today is the American Alligator. He certainly does have a nose. But he's been known to eat doggies and kitties so I don't think anyone has to go over to kiss his nose. We'll leave that for the other alligators to do okay?
Meet the Peahen (up) and the Peacock (down). They were walking around the place where Mommy and Daddy had lunch and were investigating all the children around. Tiny little noses, but very friendly. They could do with nose kisses.

Meet the Masai Giraffe. They're VERY TALL. If it brought it's nose down closer, we could all give it kisses. If it stood up, it's out of luck. I think, for nose kisses, it would bend down.

And our last guest for today is the Caracal Lynx. You can just see it there behind the log in the foreground and next to the rock on the right. The Caracal Lynx is not know for it's nose, but I'm sure we could sneak a peck in while we distracted it with ear scratches.

Thene there's this guy again. Pei laughter. He looks like he's ready to go somewhere. Like somewhere they have a Magic List? Can I take a guess? Is Report Pei Bolo on his way to Day Camp? OhpleaseOhpleaseOhpleaseOhplease. Please let it be Day Camp!

This is Report Pei Bolo signing off until next time.

Sniff ya later!

The Nose Report

It's time for another Nose Report! I'm your Reporter Pei, Bolo, Welcome.

Meet our first guest. The Snow Leopard. He has a kissable nose. But he might be dangerous so don't get too close at first, I wouldn't want to loose any friends because of him.

Now this guy is safe to kiss on the nose, he's a Mouflon. With a cute nose.
This is a Papa Mouflon. His nose might be kissable, but I think his appearence is off putting. He doesn't look like he wants nose kisses, strange as it may seem to say that, I mean, who DOESN"T want nose kisses?

Many people don't know this, but birds have noses. This is a Blue Crested (Crowned) Motmot. He does have a small kissable nose.

I don't know what this bird is, but he has a NOSE! Some birds have tiny noses that you can barely find. Not this guy!

Mom says these two are Sunbitterns. I like the colours on that one at the back's wing. Cool eh? Their noses are easily found and kissable.

Meet the Spectacled Owl. The picture is fuzzy, Mommy is still learning her camera apparently. That's ok, we still love you Mom! Nose is easy to find, but some doggies and kitties might find them a little intimidating.

This is another Owl. Mommy thinks maybe a Screech owl but she's not sure. Again, easily found nose. But he doesn't look like he wants nose kisses does he? Hmmm.

This is a Black Tailed Prairie Dog. He's a dog! But he looks like a Squirrel! He must have a serious identity crisis. Does he chase himself do you think? Anyway, kissable nose, definately!

Meet Cuvier's Smooth Fronted Caiman. Nose is easy to find, that's for sure. The kissability factor, uhm, ok. He's a little intimidating too if you ask me. I really don't trust that smile.

Then there's this guy, he keeps showing up in my blog. Now THAT"S a kissable nose right? Pei laughter.

That's all from the Nose Report, I'm Reporter Pei Bolo, until next time!

Sniff ya later!

The Tuesday Nose Report

Hello and welcome to Bolo's Nose Report! I'm your Reporter Pei, Bolo.

If you've been following the Nose Report, you know that my pawrents went to the Metro Toronto Zoo and got pictures of all sorts of animals for me to check out their nose kissability. So far, the only animal we've seen to come close to me kissable nose is the Wombat. This according to my friend Mango.

Here are our guest animals for todays Nose Report.
Please give a round of applause to our first guest, the Siberian Tiger. This tiger knows it's nose is kissable, see, it's kissing it already.

Here we have botht eh One Humped Camel (dromedary) and the Two Humped Camel (Bactrian). No Grandad, there are no Three Humped Camels. I know he's going to ask just to be silly. They certainly have noses, and flappy lips. Kissability factor? Not sure, I couldn't get close enough to check.
This little guy is a cute one, if I say so myself. He's a Przewalski's Horse I think he could also be a contender for nose kissability.

Meet the European Reindeer. Nose, yes, kisability, certainly.

And finally, the Asiatic Wild Dog or Dhole. I'm looking at him and remembering the little dog that attacked me at the beginning of the summer and I'm wondering if they're related. Hmmm. I don't like to hold grudges, but.... someone else can check on his nose kissability I think.

And just to keep you going, MY nose. I know it has a fan club. That's it for me, Report Pei Bolo signing off until next time.

Sniff ya later!

More Nose Report!

OK, Mom's feeling better. Thanks for all the pawsitive thoughts. I'll stay with her through today and that should give her the kick she needs to get back in the swing of things.

BUT, I need to blog so I'll do more of my Nose Report for everyone. I'm your Reporter Pei, Bolo, reporting for duty! Pei laughter.

Our first guest is the Hairy Nosed Wombat. Kissable, but I don't know about the hair.

Next up the Marine Toad. I think this is also the one called the Cane Toad. Kissable, I guess. Not my first choice for nose kisses though. Aren't they poisonous?

This is a red-bellied short neck turtle. A small nose, but plenty enough to kiss if you wanted to.

A bearded dragon. A cute nose, kissable, easy to find.

A black tree monitor lizard. Nice nose, easy to find, partially kissable.

Moon Jellyfish. I couldn't find a nose, but I refuse to disqualify anyone based on a lack of nose! (This is Grandad's picture. Mommy's Jellyfish picture wasn't as nice, don't tell her I said that.)Brownbanded Bamboo Shark. You can see him just to the left of the brain coral behind the other coral. Good nose, kissable - if he wasn't in the water. I'd better check what he eats before I let anyone approach him. I wouldn't want to lose any friends because of him.
Bennet's Wallaby. Hmm, maybe they are the same as the other wallaby. Maybe Charlie Daniels will know, they're native to Australia too. Nice nose, easy to find.
And your common Shar Pei. Good nose, easy to find, Extrememly kissable. Pei laughter.

That's all I have time for and it's a nice breaking point because that was the end of the Autralasian Pavillion. We'll hit the Eurasian Pavilion next. This is Reporter Pei Bolo, signing off.

Sniff ya later!
