Monday Report

That's an old picture but it shows you that I've had a great day!

Look at the slobber!

My day started out with Mom packing my lunch box! You know what that means right? Day Care! They were so happy to see me. They said I was a perfect gentleman for my nail trim. I guess I was. I also got some great massages and cuddles instead of playtime. Who wants playtime when you can get cuddles?

Dad came to get me and we walked home. Everyone had supper and then Dad took Puppy and I for a walk! Oh my DOG! I'm exhausti-pei-ted! But I had to write, just to let you know how I was doing.

Oh! Before I forget, my Uncle Marty needs some Power of the Paw. He was going to go flying this weekend (he's a recreational pilot) but he managed to somehow perforate his ear drum. If you could send vibes to my uncle to get better, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Stuff on Saturday

That's me having a snooze under Mom's desk. I'm kind of doing that now, Mom just dropped her keyboard under the desk for me. I think she loves me. Puppy also currently can't get here. He's not as mobile as he wants to be. The towel is there for me to rest my head on, and so Puppy doesn't knock his brains out if he falls against the leg of the desk.

Anyway, Miss Lola Shar Pei asked me a kind of personal question, which I really don't mind talking about here because it leads into a funny/nice story about my brother Shih Kwan.

Here is Miss Lola's question:
When you have time, can I ask you a sort of personal question? It's about marking. I was wondering if you ever had that issue and if so does your Mom have any tips about it?

Well Miss Lola, I'm not big on marking my own house, but I have been known to mark my cousins beds when we go and visit them at Granny and Bionic Grandpa's. That's the extent of my marking. Mom and Granny have learned to catch me doing it and they go No no Bolo and push my leg down. I'm usually ok the second day and don't try and mark anything after that.

My Brother Who Came Before, Shih Kwan, did some interesting marking. Mom and Dad didn't find out about this until after he had crossed the Rainbow Bridge, which makes it a little funny because he was almost 7 years old and everyone else in the family knew about it.

See, Bionic Grandpa has a weight bench in the basement of his house, we normally sleep in the basement of their house because that's where the guest rooms are. Anyway, Mom and Dad used to leave Shih Kwan with Granny and Bionic Grandpa when they'd go and visit Toronto, which was usually two or three times a year. Well, little did Mom, Dad and Bionic Grandad know that when Shih Kwan was left behind like that, he'd go and mark Bionic Grandad's weight bench, just to let Bionic Grandpa know that another dominant doggie was in the house.

Everyone knew this is what Shih Kwan would do, except Mom, Dad and Bionic Grandpa. Bionic Grandpa would ask, "Why are my weights getting rusty?" and Granny and Shih Kwan would giggle together because they knew why.

Here's a Shih Kwan picture to keep you going.

Friday Stuff

First off I would like to thank all my friends who sent Paw Power to Dannan The Little Brown Dog . He's home and starting to feel better.

I would have thanked everyone yesterday but I had a double helping of grandparents to snoopervise. Grandma and Grandad were here for their regularly scheduled Puppy and Bolo cuddling event. I enjoy these - except when they leave for a walk without me. Then I get upset. They haven't done that for a while. Which may be because it happens to rain just as they are deciding what we should all do for the afternoon.

Then Mom and Dad came home and I was very clingy Mom says. Well, you know, it's been an exciting week and sometimes I think Mom spends too much time with Puppy. Anyway, Mom and Dad weren't home all that long before Granny and Bionic Grandpa showed up! I tell you I didn't know where I should be sniffing so I hid under the table where Mom could scratch my ears. When in doubt, an ear scratch is the way to go.

Today Grandma and Grandad were back! It was like their third day in a row of being here! I think they miss me when they go home. Honestly I do. But because they were here, I got my own private walk with Mom! Oh my DOG! It's been so long since I had one of those. Thank you Grandma and Grandad for letting me have a private walk with Mom! I miss those.

Anyway, I'm exhaustipeited after entertaining and snoopervising grandparents for the last three days, so I'm off for a nap. I'm hoping Mom and/or Dad think I need cuddling and come and join me.

What the Heck Wednesday

So there I was this afternoon, not so calmly telling Mom that I wanted both cuddles and to go outside in the backyard when she FINALLY opened the door. I mean, I know Grandma and Grandad were only there to see me - and maybe Puppy - but when a Pei has to go, he HAS to go.

Then there was the WHAT THE HECK moment. The house started to rumble. Thank DOG I was outside.

Puppy would like you all to think that it was him jumping in his jumping thing that caused the earthquake that hit our area this afternoon, but the truth is, he wasn't even in it. Maybe it's from all his historical jumping though. Apparently they felt it as far south as Vermont and Cleveland - where's that......Ohio right?

File Photo.

Anyway, we're safe and sound here.

A friend needs help

I didn't have much to write about tonight until I read that Dannan The Little Brown Dog needs some Power of the Paw.

If you could all pop over and tell his Girl that we're sending Power of the Paw, we'd appreciate that.

Other than that, it's pretty boring over here. The camera hasn't come out in over a WEEK. I've tried to talk to Mom about it, but it's hard to pin her down for much more than an ear scratch. At least I'm getting those.

Anyway, please go help my friend Dannan. Thank you.

Monday Report

So my good friend Miss Lola Shar Pei expressed an interest in looking after Puppy for a bit. So I tried to pack him off to her. I even packed him some of his piddle pads (-I- was house trained at 8 weeks, I don't know what's taking HIM so long).

Then Mom caught me and started getting upset saying she would miss him yada yada yada. Blah blah blah. Then she gave me that look that said it was all my fault. I tell ya, does this look like a Pei who is to be blamed for something?

No. No it's not.

Sorry Lola, guess Puppy isn't going to visit. Maybe we can send FlatPuppy and Flat Bolo instead.

More Amazing Noseventures!

So finally, we got to my Auntie Brenda and Uncle Bill's tent. I didn't even know they were going to be there! I didn't know they could TIME TRAVEL TOO! WOW!

Flat Pappy was very interested in it.

So all after my roaching session (see Wednesday's Post) Mom and Dad started talking about giving me a bath - having not know the most amazing thing that I had roached in. Silly human noses eh? Anyway, I'd like to point out that I was not NEARLY as dirty as this guy:

Yeah, not THAT is a guy that needs a BATH.

Oh, and I saw this guy. He was even bigger than Mango and just as drooly. He'd fit right into our house. Puppy and I can drool up a storm. You can never go wrong with drool. Mom said no, because he wouldn't fit in the car. But he's a good looking guy isn't he?

Once we Time Travelled ourselves back to the car, we stopped off at Grandma and Grandad's house. That was a nice place to drink down some water and rest a bit. I was exhausti-pei-ted!

What a FANTASTIC Noseventure! I want to go back!

Pei-Ess from Mom - For those interested, we were visiting Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, Ontario. They hold a Medieval Fair in June and doggies are allowed in the village, provided they are kept on short leashes and do not enter the buildings. Please also be responsible and clean up after your pet.
