Power of the Paw Needed!

If everyone has a moment, my buddy Hero Shar Pei is in dire need of more Power of The Paw. Seems his infection is spreading to other parts of his body. We're very worried for him, he's lost A LOT of weight and that can't be helping him get very better. On top of that he has to take care of his Mom, who is waiting for her puppy to be born. So Hero, we're sending Power of The Paw.

Anyway, Mom and Puppy disappeared yesterday. They're back today, but I missed them! Luckily, Dad was here so I wasn't all by my loneliness.

Monday Report

We had A LOT of people over on Christmas morning. They were all running around MY floor. I handled it very well Mom said, but after a while I needed comforting. It's very stressful being a good host you know. Especially when there are 4 (yes, Puppy and our 3 cousins) children going all over the floor.

Anyway, eventually I went to Mom for cuddles. Sometimes you just need your Mom you know?


Mom would like me to remind you, that I weigh 70lbs. I don't know WHY she wants me to remind you of that, but apparently it's important to her that you know this.

Anyway, we survived Christmas! And I got my squirrels!

Hap-Pei Christmas!

Here's another picture of Santa Paws and I from last weekend! I don't know about you, but Santa Paws did an AWESOME job with his presents again this year. I got squirrels! And Mailman fingers and stuffies! And Mom and I sent out my e-Christmas Cards. Mom said that the money we saved sending e-cards will be going to our local Humane Society to help animals that need forever homes.

Power of the Paw Needed!

POWER OF THE PAW NEEDED!

My pal Hero Shar Pei is in rough shape. POTP to him please! He's had some complications from Shar Pei Fever. I've been lucky and have only had one bout of it, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone. It's NOT fun.

And I heard that Miss Opy crossed the bridge. So sad. She was one of the founders of Dogs with Blogs. I didn't know her very well, but I hope she can run free with her brother Charlie now.


There's the Peivent picture. Mom missed yesterday, she fell asleep. So there's a first post for today (this is the second) - in case you need to see another picture of me.

In other news, Mom has finally given in and signed me up on Facebook. I haven't checked yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only Bolo on there with a picture of my face - the smiley one I have in the upper corner of my blog. Feel free to Friend me!

A Beautiful Day!

It was a good day today. I went for a walk with Dad this morning and then had a nice nap.

Then a great walk with Mom to rescue Dad this afternoon. My Grandparents came over to give me cuddles and ear scratches! I hope tomorrow is just as good as today!

Santa Paws Sunday!

Mom took me to see Santa Paws today! Phew! I was able to tell him everything I wanted for Christmas. Squirrels for me, and amazing forever homes for all the puppies and kitties who need them.

It was SOOO much fun. We walked into PetSmart and Santa Paws was right there! He even said Hi Bolo! Oh my DOG! That was SO awesome!

He let me sit in his chair and we snuggled! I snuggled SANTA PAWS!


He said I was VERY photogenic and he was going to keep a copy of this one in his scrapbook!

Thursday

I went on Noseventure today!

We had to go to PetSmart because we were out of Rollover! GASP! (I've included a linky to their website since a few friends had never heard of them before.)

We had a nice visit with the Hotel ladies and I got to give them lots of snuffles. Hey! I just realized that the cashier never gave me my treat! Humph. Mom said something about a Christmas present too, but I was too busy snuffling to really pay attention. Santa Paws knows what I want. GASP! I haven't been to see Santa Paws yet! Maybe he doesn't know what I want! Oh my dog!

Mom says no problem, he'll be at PetSmart this weekend. Phew! Ok. I can handle that.

I'm in charge Monday

Grandma and Grandad came over today to cuddle Puppy and I. Good times! Then Mom and Grandma went out and I was left in charge of Grandad and Puppy (Puppy was sleeping - I've been teaching him how to nap.) Mom actually said those words to me as she left, "You're in charge Bolo." WOHOO!

First of all, I think we need a serious ear scratching session. Then I'll have a snack and some water, and come over to lick your knee to thank you for putting out food and water. Then you can get back to ear scratching.

Grandad and I had a good time and Puppy stayed asleep until Mom and Grandma came home. So I had Grandad ALL TO MYSELF! WOOT! Sigh. When are you coming back Grandad? I could use a few more ear scratches.

Snowy Sunday

Snow, ice, freezing rain. It's been blechy. So I stayed in and napped. Until I needed to pee. Then I went outside, did my little thing, then ran back inside and back to having a nap. It's the only way to handle this type of weather. Mom joined me for one of my naps. Ahhhh.

Do I look brave? I feel brave. Dad says I was brave. Mom and Puppy were out doing Mom and Puppy stuff and Dad and Mr. D were using the power tools. I was lonely, uhm, needed to snoopervise, yah, needed to snoopervise, so I stayed near Dad and Mr. D. Those power tools are LOUD!

Thinking Thursday

I think I am getting sleeeeeeeeepei. Pei laughter.

I've had a busy few days. Mom has needed cuddles because she's giving lots to Puppy. He's snuffley, and sneezy. I wouldn't actually cuddle up to the little guy myself you know, that would involve touching him and I'm not at all ready for that, but I'll cuddle Mom so she can give cuddles to Puppy. Apparently my Auntie Sharon needs a burst of energy too, so I've been sending her some, and cyber nose kisses too. I hope she got them.

Other than that, I have ok'ed Mom's idea for Christmas cards this year. We're just waiting for some snow. We'll be getting some this weekend she says. 30-40cm is what Environment Canada was predicting for the weekend last we heard. That might be a little too much if you ask me. Oh, Mom just checked and it's down to 20cm. That's more reasonable.

Did you HONESTLY think I would forget about Nosevember? Too many other things were happening, but I know that I had a good Nosevember and I hope everyone else did too.

Mission Monday

Hi All! I'm still here. It's been pretty BORING around here. Other than a bit of snow. Puppy is starting to chase me around the floor and I'm not so sure I'm happy about that. He slides on the hardwood on his belly. He hasn't figured out how to use his feet, unless he's in his Ex-Pen, then he's standing all over the place. Weird.

Anyway, I had a MISSION yesterday!

I had to deliver a present to Grandma and Grandad. It was a box of cookies! Did Mom take a picture of the box - No. She's losing it guys. So if you find it, it's hers. Anyway, I had to go and deliver the box. Grandma and Grandad were out, but the driveway needed shoveling, so I snoopervised Mom shoveling the driveway! I also made sure to tell her to put deicer on the steps, they were pretty icy. Then we left the cookies on the kitchen counter.

Anyway, Mom hasn't taken any pictures of me with the new snow, so here's one from last year. We don't have NEAR that much snow. It's just a dusting.

So here they are! My Look-A-Like Contest Winners!

We only had 3 entries - which is ok - and my Mom, being a wonderful Mom, said we could get everyone a prize! I personally snuffled each and every one of the hippos that are being shipped out to my three contestants.


In the category of Dressing Alike, please congratulate Miss Lois Lane and her Mom! (Doesn't Laney make a great lap dog?)

In the category of Doing Activities Together, please congratulate Miss Honey the Great Dane and her Mom. (My Mom also said she wished she were getting a pawdicure with them. Pfft. Girls.)

Tuesday Tales

Well, as you know, I was in charge of snoopervising the delivery of the New Fridge today. I had to do all of my snoopervising from the stairs though. Sigh. Just because the front door was open and the squirrels were running all over the place while our New Fridge was being delivered. I had to stay behind the gate.



Horribly unfair I say!

In good news though, you'll all be happy to know that our New Fridge has a spacial shelf just for my Rollover! It must have been the prime reason Mom and Dad picked that one.

Mission Monday

I'm exhausti-pei-ted!

It's been a busy couple of days here. Lots of missions for me to go on. The first one was yesterday (Sunday). Mom, Puppy and I went on a mission to get prizes for my Look-A-Like Contest. More about that later!

Today, we had to go on another mission. A little more important than prizes, in Mom's opinion anyway, I wasn't consulted. At least I was invited on the missions though. We had to go and get ICE. See, on Friday, our house was SUPER STINKY. SO stinky, I didn't want to be inside AT ALL. So Mom went looking at what could be making our house stinky. It was the fridge! I can honestly say, the only thing I had in the fridge was Rollover and this was WAY stinkier than Rollover!

Mom said the fridge was burning out. Grandma and Grandad showed up with a cooler. It's handy having them around isn't it? Mom got some ice, and they emptied the fridge and unplugged it. But the funny thing about ice is that it melts! So we had to get more ice today! Mom said they'll be more adventure tomorrow when THEY come to take the old fridge away. Not sure who THEY are - maybe my Leaf Bandits double as Fridge Stealers.

Anyway, I'm exhausti-pei-ted from all these mission. I'm resting up for tomorrow's excitement!

Things are back to normal here. My Mom disappeared on Wednesday, WAY too early for civilized doggies to be up. We went to pick her up yesterday afternoon at the train station. She smelled SO interesting. Like cat, puppy and cat. Mom said the puppy smell was from a little pug/boston terrier cross she met on the bus, 4 months old. She needed to cuddle him. I've smelled the cat smells on her before, just not as strong. Mom said it's because Auntie Mel's cats were feeling cuddle deprived and Mom was convenient.

I don't like it when one of my people is not with me. It's just not right you know? That's my herding instinct coming out. I need my people close! Anyway, Dad said I pushed him off the bed the night Mom was away. That's not true. I don't push. I LEAN. Usually on Dad's legs. Not my fault that he can't keep his legs on the bed when I do that is it?

I think I need to go and LEAN on Mom. She's behind in her ear scratches.

Mystery Solved! And don't forget......

As some of you may - or may not - know, my dear friends Lola and Franklin of Pei Days Blog, have, in the past, gotten their leaf piles STOLEN! This can be a horrible HORRIBLE thing to happen to a pei - or anyone for that matter. A dog's leaves should be SACRED! Don't you agree?

Anyway, I think I have found the culprit! Mom was with it this morning and had her handy dandy camera with the awesome zommies lens and she caught THEM IN THE ACT of stealing OUR LEAVES!

She's blurred their faces so that no one can send out a hit (I hear my buddy Mango had trouble with one of those earlier) .

You can see they're using a very large vacuum cleaner! A dog's WORST indoor enemy (squirrels being a dog's worst outdoor enemy). Roving bands of Leaf Stealers! BEWARE! They may strike you next!

In other news, Saturday is the last day for entries into my Look a Like Contest!

- which I didn't even THINK of doing. Sigh. Apparently Mom's not with it sickness is straying over to me. Don't forget to send me those entries!

I think that's it, Mom needs my help with something. I hope she doesn't need help giving Puppy a bath. I heard it mentioned earlier as an activity for tonight and I SO do NOT want to be anywhere near there. They might mistake ME for Puppy.

Monday Report

It's Monday! I'm pretty fresh from Adventures too!

Grandma and Grandad came and Puppy-napped Puppy. Which means I got quiet time with Mom. Oh, I LOVE quiet time with Mom. When Grandma, Grandad and puppy came back, we all went on NOSEVENTURES!
Here I am encouraging Grandma and Puppy to Hurry UP!

We headed over to see our neighbours, where Mom was prepared and fed them carrots.
Mr. Goat isn't the nicest of fellows so Mom threw his carrots into the field so Mr. Horse could enjoy his carrots leisurely.

Where too next? I'm ready for more NOSEVENTURES!

Saturday Noseventure!

So today was the first Saturday after Hallowe'en. Which means it's time for The PUMPKIN
MASSACRE!

First things first, anyone need to warm up by the fire? It's a little chilly out here.

OK, first, investigate ALL the Orange Invaders.

They brought some big ones out this year!


Then you cheer on Daddy (and others) as they attack the Orange Invaders with their sharp pointy swords! GO DADDY!


You would not BELIEVE how AWESOME Daddy smells after wading in pumpkin pyuck all day. Oh my DOG!
