Hmmmm

It's been a busy week for me. Mom and Dad went out on Tuesday and only Dad came back and then I was off to Day Care. Uhm, but where was Mom? I was pretty worried. The lovely staff at the Hotel loved me and cuddled me, but it wasn't the same. It wasn't Mom.

FINALLY Dad came to pick me up yesterday and we walked home. Oh it was -SO- sunny and wonderful yesterday. When I finally got home I smelled visitors! Yup, there was Grandma and Grandad and MOM! I pulled Daddy all the way over to Mom so I could tell her that I missed her. Oh it's so nice to be home with my parents. Oh, and my Grandparents too - and the cookies they brought.

I also noticed there was someone else, but Grandma was holding it and I know Grandma isn't big on kisses, I still tried to snuffle her. Pei laughter.

I was able to investigate a little closer. It appears that what Grandma was holding was the Puppy Mommy was waiting for! He stayed overnight and I had to investigate him thoroughly, since it appears he's mine now and I need to protect him - because that's what Shar Peis do.

Hmmmmm.

Well, so far we have some mutual hobbies. Eating and sleeping. I'm not quite sure about him though. We'll see how things go. He's sleeping now, I'd better go and guard Puppy.

Bolo & Puppy Update

Bolo's Mom here, writing from the hospital. The "puppy" is here. Bolo is at Day Care until Puppy and I are able to come home. We'll write more when we're all back together again. Bolo is apparently getting lots of love and attention but I'm sure he's looking forward to being home too.

New Neighbours

I think I mentioned yesterday that I thought we had gotten new neighbours. We did! These guys (we didn't check gender, sorry) just moved in yesterday! There are three of them (two in the first picture, one in the second picture). We brought them carrots but they weren't interested. Probably because they had all that hay there. Anyway, welcome to the neighbourhood!




Mom caught this picture of me this morning and said I am Ultimate Cuteness. I managed to sneak in cuddles with both Mom AND Dad this morning - independently of each other. That just means more cuddles for me you know. But it also explains why I am in Ultimate Cuteness Mode. So Mom, are you coming back for your nap? Just so I know when I can expect my next round of cuddles! Pei laughter! Sniff ya later!

Monday Morning Report

Sorry we're a bit late on the Monday Morning Report gang, but I've had to snoopervise Mommy's sleeping. She's doing very well, but I think I'll try and encourage a nap this afternoon. Daddy looked like he needed a nap this morning too but he went off to work like he normally does. He really should have come back to bed with me after he let me outside to do my thing. I did hear him say that he wished he could. Maybe tomorrow he will.

Mom and Dad keep saying I'm such a smart boy and such a brave boy. Why? Well, because I am. Pei laughter. Daddy let me go outside last night before we all started getting ready for bed and I did my little thing and then came back in and headed upstairs. Only to find all the bedroom doors closed and the only place I could go was the B A T H-room. I stood at the door and gave a really long sigh and then got myself into the B A T H, all by myself. Then I stood there and used my Truely Pathetic Face to see if THEY would relent. THEY didn't. Drat. So I got a B A T H. I have to admit, they did dry me off with the macho Pirate towel (see bath post 1 and bath post 2 from last year).

It wasn't all that bad a weekend though, I also got Noseventures - and made my Mom's Birthday special by cuddling up to her on Saturday. I hope I get a Noseventure today because I thought I saw some new neighbours in the Little Farm Beyond the Fence. I think I should go welcome them. After I finish my morning nap though. Pei laughter!

Hap-pei Birthday Mom!

I'm making sure Mom has a good birthday by sticking close to her. I fell asleep stretched out against Dad's leg last night and woke up curled up against the back of Mom's knees. See, even subconsciously, I knew I had to take care of her. She's also gotten nose kisses - lucky her!

I know she's also planning a nap, you can bet I'll be snoopervising that!

I think she'll have a very happy rest of her birthday - after all, I'm here! Pei laughter.

In other news, Mom took me on Adventures yesterday - I had to get a pawdicure though, but Mom made up for it by making sure I got to rescue Daddy! Not only that, but we also took a Noseventure last night! Something to do with pumpkin muffins. I know nothing about it, but it was a Noseventure!

Oh, and you're ladies are right Ruby and Penny, I am SO not a morning Pei. Morning should only start after a good nap, like say around 1030 or 1100am. Anything earlier than that is just torture, really it is.

Bolo's Friday Weather Report and Other Adventures

I would LOVE to give you my Friday weather report, but based on the time and the fact that it's blacker than I am outside, you get to see the look that I gave Mom for waking me up too early:

She said she had to be up and moving early because she has to take the puppy to be sounded. Yeah yeah, whatever Mom. I'm going back to bed. Dad isn't even awake yet. SHEESH!

Tattoo Thursday

I'm glad everyone likes my new picture Tattoo. Mom is adding that into my cutest and most adorable pictures to safeguard my image. You'll notice she doesn't cover the nose or the eyes, I told her that my Nose Fan Club wouldn't appreciate that.

Sorry to say there isn't much new here gang. I had to nap with Mom TWICE yesterday, she's learning REALLY well that a good nap or two is VERY important to the continuation of good health - for her AND the puppy. It's a good thing I'm here to snoopervise her, I'm not sure what she'd do without me.

In other news, Dad told me that Mom's Birthday is on Saturday. Oh my dog! What should I get her? Cuddles and nose kisses I can handle, but should I get her something else? Last year I asked Daddy to get her a Toaster - which she still loves a year later. Any ideas, please let me know either in a comment or via pee-mail bolo (at) magma (dot) ca .
